Skullflower | Black Hat Jams

Noise/Experimental artist Matthew Bower self releases a new 3-song EP on his Bandcamp. ‘Black Hat Jams’ by Skullflower is a perfect backdrop for our dystopian times.

I have been under the spell of Matthew Bower’s prolific sonic alchemy ever since he released ‘Form Destroyer’ in the late 90’s. Operating under the ‘Skullflower‘ moniker, he has has consistently created experimental/noise albums that seem to take on a life of their own with each listen. While most ‘drone’ music bores me to pieces, Skullflower transcends this by using the most unpredictable, analog, and mechanical of sources.

I would also highly suggest listening to his “The Hototogisu” project back catalog as well. Here’s a link to download a copy of the ‘Awful Symetry‘ album. As always, if you like what you hear, support the artists.
